This eagerly awaited book is the result of many years spent collecting and researching the visual, written and oral archives of the ancient town of Montgomery in the historic county of Montgomeryshire (Powys, Wales).

The story of the historic town is told in 16 richly illustrated chapters. A story of the notable features of Montgomery - its castles, church and town hall - including tales of many inhabitants over the centuries, of trades and professions, sports and celebrations, the two gaols, the fire service - and much more besides.

It contains over 200 pages with 250 illustrations and is available from the Old Bell Museum in Montgomery.
