  • Notes 
    • After marriage, family moved to near Rome, Smith County and remained there until the 1850s. They then returned to Franklin County, settling in Roark's Cove. He was a farmer and blacksmith. Buried Grave #32 Cherry Cem.
      REF: "The Montgomery Family of Franklin County" by Erick D. Montgomery lists ten children. "John and Esthr Houston Montgomery - 1738" lists seven chidren. Two of the extra children A.B. and Sarah A. died in childhood. The third Luther High(155-1926) married Linchey Sweeton and had at least one son. Remaining information compares well.

      Erick Montgomery's information came from Bible record in possesion of decendent.
