Claude Lester, Sabine Parish, Sabine Index, Many, LA, Dec 25, 1969 Funeral services were held for Claude Lester of Many, in the WarrenBaptist Church, on Sunday, Dec. 14, at 3 p.m. Burial was in the Ft. JesupCemetery. The Rev. Travis McCullough, the Rev. Ray Penfield, and the Rev.Glen Flenniken officiated. Mr. Lester died after a short illness, at 4 a.m., on Dec. 13. He was 69years of age. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Gladys Lester of Many; a son ClaudeLester Jr. of Many; two daughters, Mrs. Luline Bonds, and Mrs. GloriaMcCormic, both of Many; one brother from Houma, Chris C. Lester; asister, Mrs. Mettie Canady of Florien; nine grandchildren; and one greatgrandchild. Pallbearers included Rudy Taylor, Benny Taylor, Oscar Canady, Tom Canady,Charles, and Orlon Lester. Burial was under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home.
