Horan, 9806 Cliffwood, Houston, TX 77096, January 1996. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Notes from research of Dicie Niggl, 134 Kettle Hole Rd, Bolton, MA 01740, February 1997) It has never been proved but it is assumed that the original immigrant of this particular southern Indiana Montgomery family was Robert Montgomery, who came from Ireland in 1666 with his brothers, Hugh and William, and settled on the James River in VA. Robert was granted 850 acres there, and he may have been the father of a second Hugh Montgomery, who was born circa 1705 and whose wife was Caroline Anderson. (Henry A.
