- We know not yet the maiden name of John Caldwell's wife, Margaret. She is
buried in the Presbyterian Cemetery south of Lake Como on the west side
of Route l3, Smyrna, Kent County, Delaware. Her grave is marked by the
same
rather large monument marking her husband's grave (his information on one
side of the monument and Margaret's on the reverse). The inscription
relating
to Margaret is:
"In memory of MARGARET CALDWELL wife of John
Caldwell
who departed this life on the 26th of Sept 1786
aged 61 years
Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord for their
good works
follow them."
