The pen name of Alice Jane was Jean Webster. Jean graduated from Vassarin
1901. She was the author of "Daddy-Long-Legs" published in 1912. In acopy of
the above book Jean claims Daniel Boone & Eli Whitney as her "eminent
Forebears". It does not state whether it is from her maternal or paternal
side.
