  BIOGRAPHY: Became King of England in 1100. According to Encyclopaedia Brittanica, 1974 Edition, Vol.III, pg. 206: "... His (William II) death was the result of of an "accident" ...shot through the back with an arrow. Henry, who was conveniently of the hunting party, rode posthaste to Winchester, siezed the Treasury, and was chosen king the next day... At his coronation on August 5, 1100....
